  6. Having installed ShapeShifter Macintosh emulation just recently I
  7. quickly discovered that the existing video drivers for the native
  8. Amiga chip set were quite disappointing in performance especially in
  9. the 256 colour modes. I decided to write my own and this is the
  10. outcome of that effort. TurboEVD supports 2,4,16 and 256 colour modes
  11. and is recordedly faster than any other driver including Savage. It
  12. uses the MMU in M68040 and M68060 and very advanced chunky to planar
  13. techniques to achieve its speed. Best of all it's completely freeware.
